Activity 3.1b Linear Measurement US
In activity 3.1b we learned about the US Customary System which is the system of measurement that the only United States uses. It's a bit more complex than the Metric System which every other nation in the world uses.
Conclusion Question
1. When you look at a drawing, how do you know if you are looking at U S Customary or SI measurements? Why is it important for an engineer to know this piece of information? You can tell if you're looking at a drawing done in US Customary or SI measurements by measuring the object in inches and centimeters and seeing with which measurement it aligns with the most. This is important for an engineer to know this piece of information because with this information, an engineer knows how to build an object in proportion to the drawing.
